Do not use Trailfellow to pursue romance. Do not send flirtatious or sexual messages, comment on someone’s appearance, or use trip chat to ask someone out. People sometimes become friends — that is welcome. Treating the platform as a place to meet romantic partners is not, and it is grounds for removal.

Trip chat unlocks only after a host accepts you, and it exists to coordinate one specific hike. Do not use it to solicit, sell, or contact members privately after they have asked you to stop.

Overstating your fitness or experience puts the whole group at risk. If a trip lists a level or pace you are not ready for, pick a different one. Hosts: describe the hike accurately, including elevation, exposure, and turnaround expectations.

Hosts may mark a trip women-only. Requesting to join one when it is not for you is a violation, not a misunderstanding.

People plan their weekend around a confirmed group. If your plans change, withdraw as early as you can. Repeated no-shows will limit your ability to join trips.

Every profile, trip, and message can be reported. Reports involving harassment or safety get a human review within 24 hours. You can also block someone at any time, which hides you from each other across the platform.

We would rather lose a member than keep someone who makes hiking feel unsafe.
